What is Randy's List?

Randy's List is a unique database designed to inform service industry professionals of potential problems with the occasional difficult customer. We use the term "occasional" because we believe that most customers don't fall into this category, but the ones that do can be devastating to a company's bottom line. We collect reliable information on both good and bad customers from members all over the country and put it all together in an easy to search database.

Throughout the design and creation of Randy's List our main goal was to create a website that would be beneficial, informative and very easy to use. I think we've accomplished that but we are always willing to listen to the feedback from our members. Why Use Randy's List?

Randy's List was created by service industry professionals for the service industry. The founder, creator and the designers have been in the "customer-satisfying" business for over 25 years and one thing is certain, in these difficult economic times, the relationship between the service provider and the customer has changed. Everyday, we see more and more customers who can't or won't pay what they owe and will try anything to renegotiate their agreement or not pay at all. Small businesses are having a tough enough time keeping their head above water and shouldn't have to worry that their next project might be the one that puts them out of business. Remember, when your customer or client doesn't pay in full and on time, the money you're losing comes straight off the bottom line!

Who Needs Randy's List?

Anyone who provides a service and receives payment during or after the service is complete. Knowing ahead of time that your potential customer has a slow-pay or no-pay history can be very beneficial when setting up your payment arrangements. Even if your business gets paid the entire balance upfront, you still need Randy's List. Our database includes the "chronic complainers" and "micro-managers" that can also greatly decrease a company's bottom line. Over the last several years customers have learned that threatening to call or file a report with the BBB or any other reporting agency can usually get service providers to bend over backwards to make them happy. This might include additional work (not previously agreed on or paid for) and in many cases, a partial or full refund. This usually works if the cost and time of satisfying the customer is less than the cost, time and hassle of dealing with the BBB and the other agencies or "Lists".
